Turkish Diyanet Foundation Distributes Eid Meat to 3,000 Needy Families in Herat

The Turkish Diyanet Foundation, in cooperation with the country’s Consulate General in Herat Province, has initiated the distribution of sacrificial meat to three thousand families in need.

Tezcan Kadioglu, the Turkish Consul General in Herat, told Khate-Nakhost that, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, 200 head of cattle are being slaughtered and their meat is being distributed to more than 3,000 needy families.

He added that this action has been carried out as a symbol of friendship between the people of Afghanistan and Turkey.

Furthermore, Mahmut Dede, the representative of the Turkish Diyanet Foundation, stated that of the 200 slaughtered cattle, the meat from approximately 50 head will be distributed to needy individuals in Farah Province.

According to him, the Turkish Diyanet Foundation has slaughtered more than 2,500 head of cattle across 18 provinces of Afghanistan and is distributing the meat among underprivileged families and the poor.
