A battery manufacturing company in Afghanistan’s western Herat province has exported a shipment of batteries worth $2 million to Arab countries, local officials said.

The Herat provincial administration, citing officials from the Green Energy Plus battery factory, said the shipment was exported under a major commercial contract and marked the company’s fourth export consignment to Arab markets.

Company officials said Green Energy Plus has the capacity to meet demand in Afghanistan’s domestic market while also supplying batteries to various provinces and exporting its products to international markets.

According to the information provided by the company, the factory produces around 4,000 batteries per day and provides employment for 550 people.

The company is based in Herat and is a major battery manufacturer in Afghanistan. Its official website lists a range of battery products for automotive, motorcycle, solar, and telecommunications applications.
