The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has announced the commencement of the artificial turf replacement project at the Herat Football Stadium, funded in collaboration with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

Mohammad Yousuf Kargar, President of the AFF, attended the project’s opening ceremony during his official visit to Herat province.

According to Kargar, the federation plans to renovate existing football pitches in Herat and Ghazni provinces, while constructing brand-new football stadiums in Logar, Kandahar, and Balkh provinces.

The turf replacement at the Herat Stadium is being carried out by Turkish engineers and is scheduled to be completed within one month, after which the stadium will be fully operational for local and national matches.
