A delegation from the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) has met with officials from the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) during a visit to Iran to discuss ways to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Mirajan Soleymankhel, Deputy Head of Policy and Government Relations at ACCI, led the Afghan delegation during a meeting with Qadir Qiafeh, Vice President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
The meeting focused on expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation, encouraging joint investment, developing joint production initiatives, and strengthening relations and cooperation between the business chambers of Afghanistan and Iran.
The two sides also agreed to establish a joint working group between ACCI and ICCIMA. The group will regularly follow up on trade- and investment-related issues, as well as challenges facing traders from both countries, and seek practical solutions.
The initiative aims to strengthen coordination between the two chambers and create a more structured mechanism for addressing trade and investment challenges between Afghanistan and Iran.
